You've Got Mail!

I cased this card from someone on SCS. The stamp set is called Winter post. It is one of those sets where you want to use every stamp in the set all on the same card. I also added a few stamps from a couple of other sets too. But my favorite part .................
......is the inside. I don't know why. I just like it.

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?

This is such a great stamp set. I never noticed it in the catalog. I didn't even know it existed until I seen a card made with it. It is called Sleigh Bells Ring. It is only $15.95. I love the holly too. See it on the envelope?

My first 2008 Christmas Card!

I'M BACK! I haven't posted anything in so long. It felt so good to sit down and finally make a card (even though I don't have time to be stampin right now). I just couldn't resist.

Oh my goodness, it is chilly this morning. Christmas is on its way. Are you getting ready? Oh, but we are having such a beautiful fall.....let's enjoy that first!

This card was really easy. I don't watercolor very much cause I don't think that I am very good at it but I think the secret to water coloring is ........not being very good at it, sshhhhhh. Seriously, you don't have to be good. After I "water colored", I used Glassy Glaze. Can you see the background stamp - Sanded? I love background stamps!
Hope to post again soon!

To everything there is a season.....

Except for friendship....it last forever. I was cleaning off my stamp table and this stamp set was under some papers. So I thought I would give it a stamp see. I wished I would have put the seasons in order (spring, summer, winter and fall instead of winter, fall, summer and spring) LOL, next time.

Ain't Life Grand?!!! HECK YEAH!

I love, LOVE this background stamp. Baroque is the name and fancy is the game. I embossed and it pops. If you guessed that this card is for a person turning 50, then you guessed right! Whohoo! 50! Fifty years old everybody!

Bountiful Blessings.

Oh my, just a quickie post...I am in a bit of a hurry. This is my entry for Beate's Weekend Challenge # 60. I hope you like it!

Happy Halloween Everybody, Ha, Ha, Ha (evil laugh)!

Ok, we tried a little sponging last night and here is the finished product. Yes, this is the stamp that I bought for a quarter coupled with the Lovely as a Tree set. The inks used are Apricot Appeal, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy and Basic Black. The cardstocks are Basic Black and Whisper White. This card needs a bat or a witch (or something), but folks, I don't have a bat or witch one. I do have the retired set "Booglie Eyes". I am going to have to break down and invest in some SU! Halloween sets.

OH MY GOODNESS! Tonight is Movie night!

I've got popcorn and candy! I'm going to make some chili and taco dip! Which reminds me.....I need to get the chili in the crockpot. I am really looking forward to the girls coming over to watch Sex and the City! WooWHO!

Kristina Werner's Color Challenge

Here is the color challenge. I didn't send my card in this week. I made one but I just didn't enter in the challenge. I ripped a piece off and when I did that, it messed up my Pumpkin Pie piece. I should have replaced that piece too but I didn't. I really needed to make another card but I just didn't have time. You probably can see in the picture where the Pumpkin Pie piece is messed up. Anyway, I wanted to post my card here on my blog anyway.

So here is my card! Whatever....I'm not very good at coming up with my own stuff. I don't know, maybe I need more supplies (lol). I just like hanging on the skirt tales of all my favorite and talented demonstrators. What can I say, at least I'm honest.
Can you see someone peeking out the door in the background?

October brings the Birthday Sale!

Check out this sale. If you can't read this, hop on over to my website and go to promotions. All of the latest promotions will be listed there. I will be taking advantage of this sale, that is for sure.

Beate's Challenge #25

Here is what I came up with for Beate's challenge # 25 and I can say it wasn't easy....of course I had Emma (19 mo) and Cooper (2 mo) today. That says it all right there. Shew, I am tired! I have been very, VERY busy today.

I think this is a very calm looking card. Which is odd since today was everything but calm. I have a lot of techniques going on. But hey, what can I say, I was in a mood.

Welcome Sweet Baby Girl!

I wish I knew somebody getting ready to have a new baby girl. For some reason the picture seems dark, hmmm. Can you see the welcome above the bow? It is a simple card but I like simple sometimes. I keep saying that. Anyway, if you need a baby girl card, let me know.

Guess What I Got Today....Did you get one?

Starting Wednesday, we will be able to order from this mini. I was able to pre-order a few of the stamp sets to have on hand when this mini came out and oh man, are they cute! I have some of the new ribbon on my wish list. Actually, I have another order ready to be sent on Wednesday. We can order from this catalog starting October 1st all the way through January 18, 2009. If you didn't get a mini, you will be able to view it online at my Stampin' Up! website starting Wednesday, October 1st. SWEET!

For my friend!

Hope you had a great weekend! I am in my little stamping area stamping and listening to the crickets outside. I just finished this quick little card. I got the inspiration from a really neat blog called Clean and Simple Stamping. Man there are so many talented and creative people out there. I swear, I wish I had an ounce of that goodness, geez! Anyway, I am so glad they share their ideas.

A "Wild" Birthday Card!

My friend Becky's birthday was yesterday. She got a zebra print w/red trim purse for her birthday. She was telling me all about it over the phone and she was so excited. So I thought I would make her birthday card to match her purse.

Trick or Treat! Aww, Sweet.......

How cute is this little treat bag? Oh my goodness. I learned how to make this bag from Angie at Stampin' Academy. I only have one Halloween stamp set so I was limited with what I could do. I really wanted to make a Halloween treat bag though. So here it is. My pumpkins are up side down but still, I'm just saying... Anyway, below is a side view of the treat bag....SWEET! Thanks Angie at Stampin' Academy!

Grand Ole Time!

I really love this set. We are going to be making this card at my stamp camp. I used Basic Grey, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Urban Garden dsp. I stamped the image in Not Quite Navy then covered the white piece with a dryer sheet. Finally, I poured Dazzling Diamonds over the dryer sheet. You can kinda see the sparkle in the picture.

Happy Boo to You!

This is my version of Kristina's MACM as seen here. http://kwernerdesign.com/assets_c/2008/09/092208-macm2.html
I probably should have used a different color for my tag. Also, I could have shown more branches and less trunk. Anyhow, this was a fun card to make. I stamped the tree on vellum but then I put white behind it so that kinda defeated the purpose of the vellum. But hey, I think it is cute.

A customer of mine was selling some of her old stamps for a quarter each. I bought the tree stamp....FOR A QUARTER! I love tree stamps. Especially when they are only a quarter!

My card for the kwernerdesign color challenge #23...

I really felt the need to use Whisper White somewhere but she did not list WW so I didn't use it. (oops, I missed the "not-so-fine" print about using Whisper White or Very Vanilla. Boy am I a mallet head) Working from scratch does not come easy for me. That is why I decided to participate each week. Besides, it is fun. There are soooooo many creative and talented people that participate. I really enjoy seeing all of the entries and blogs. Thanks for looking!

Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #23...

Wow, check out these great fall colors. Don't they look like a lot of fun? Why don't you play with me and make a card too.
