Peace, Love, Joy....

Three things that everybody hopes for, especially at Christmas, are peace, love and joy.

I did a little of silver embossing on the sentiment and a smidgen on the ornament.

The Christmas twins.....

The Christmas twins, they aren't identical but they look alike. These two have lots of sparkle and shine(which are not showing up in the pictures). The inspiration for these two came from a stamper on Splitcoast. Lot's of good ideas there.

Simple Yet Merry.......

Not really your traditional Christmas colors but where's the law huh? No glitter, no glamor, no glitz AND I still like it. Every once in awhile, simplicity works. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some glitter, just not for this card. (can you see the little snowflake ornament brads?)

You're Too Kind!

Fall Greateful Greatings

Thanks for OWL you DO!

I love, LOVE Stampin' Up!, don't get me wrong but when I seen this paper at Hobby Lobby the other day, I just had to have it and that's owl there was too it.

Thankful Thoughts

Give Thanks

This is just a little ole plain and simple "Give Thanks" card. Not a lot of color and I'm not real sure if I like it but I decided to post it anyway. The stamp set is Lovely as a Tree from Stampin' Up!

Happy Boo To YOU!

I keep using this DSP from a couple of years ago. It's so cute and it serves the purpose. I really like how this card turned out. My favorite is the inside. I don't think you can tell from the picture but I stamped the skull and cross bones image from Just Jawing in clear and embossed. I added a bit of DSP on the inside too.

My Color Challenge Entry!

See the embossing AND the soft suede?

Here is my entry for Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge {Act 49}. The card itself is Very Vanilla. It is then layered with Basic Black and Sahara Sand. The Baroque background stamp image is embossed. Then I stamped En Francais in Soft Suede over that (mainly because I got my card all finished and realized that I hadn't used Soft Suede). Also, I stamped En Francais on scrap paper once before I stamped on my card so that it wasn't so bold. (To see the card without Soft Suede click here.)

For the Newlyweds!

(Can you see the embossing?)
Here was going to be my post for the Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge {Act 49}. But, I just notice that it is missing Soft Suede. DANG IT! So, I will either make a new one or try to squeeze in a little Soft Suede somewhere.

the inspiration for my card

Classy Friendship....

This is one of two cards I made for a color challenge. I decided not to use this card but I still like it. I think it looks classy, just like my friend!

Hello Baby!

Owl Adjustment......

I had to make a couple of changes on my owl cards that I posted the other day. When I was making the cards, I had just put on hand lotion. Then I handled the paper. After that, I could not keep the DSP stuck to my card stock. I tried snail, glue dots and even sticky strip. Finally, I decided to add some trim. Here is my card after the adjustments. Even though I cased this card, adding the trim makes it mine. Can you see the the difference?

Don't forget the inside!

Ok, so I've been on a Crumb Cake kick lately. I can't help it......I LOVE THE CAKE! And these cute buttons!

Also, I have been trying to dress up the inside of my cards just a bit. It only takes a little to make it look BIG!

Thinking of You!

I think that "Thinking of You" cards are my favorite cards to make. The flower is made out of a paper bag that looks like old newspaper print. The button is from a sweater that got washed and dried with a black ink pen.

Isn't Love a hoot?

I found this idea from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator that found the idea from the new 2010/2011 SU Catalog. I just had to case it for myself. I made two. One is for an anniversary and one is a wedding card. That's owl I did.
